Will my inspection data sync between devices?

Not in v1.0. Inspections are stored on the iPhone where they were created. iCloud Backup (if enabled in iOS Settings) will include the data in your nightly backup so it survives a phone replacement. Multi-device sync is the top priority for v1.1.

What happens if I lose my phone?

If you have iCloud Backup enabled, restore your new phone from backup and your inspections will return. Without iCloud Backup, the data is gone. Treat the app like a physical clipboard: back up regularly until v1.1 ships cloud sync.

How does AI Polish work? Will it invent things?

Your finding text is sent through our backend proxy to Anthropic's Claude. The AI is prompted to use conservative inspector language and never to invent measurements, defects, or recommendations. When a note is too brief to be defensible, the AI flags it and asks you to add detail.

Do I need to bring my own API key?

No. The subscription covers all AI usage. You never see, paste, or manage an API key.

Do photos go to the cloud?

No. Photos live in the iOS app sandbox on your device. They are only included when you share the PDF report (via Mail, Messages, or any iOS share target).

How do I cancel the subscription?

Open the iPhone Settings app → tap your name → Subscriptions → SnapInspect AI → Cancel Subscription. You retain access through the end of the period you've already paid for.

How do I restore my subscription on a new device?

Sign in with the same Apple ID you used to subscribe. Open the app, go to Settings, tap Restore Purchases. The app will detect your active subscription and unlock the Pro features.

Is there an iPad version?

Not yet. v1.0 is iPhone-only by design — built for inspectors walking properties. An iPad version is on the roadmap once we have signal that inspectors want the bigger canvas.
